A love of numbers meets a welcoming energy combined with an artistic eye mixed in with a passion for financial literacy all tied up in a bow of budgeting.
Who is Spencer?
A man of many interests and professional pursuits, Spencer found a passion for numbers throughout his school years in math classes, from elementary through college.
Four years at the Public Theater in the General Management and Finance departments gave Spencer real-world experience in a fast-paced, money-minded environment.
Another four years at Ghostlight Theater Camp as the Business Manager—and then Associate Director—showed him the joy and excitement of working on a smaller team with more individually-driven projects and budgeting challenges.
Lastly, he spent a season working at You Need a Budget supporting customers in setting up budgets, troubleshooting issues, and working with people with wildly different budgeting backgrounds. This led to his coaching certification with YNAB, as one of the first to be approved to spread a game-changing budgeting method and software to any and everyone.
Spencer is a YNAB Certified Budgeting Coach, which means that he has been trained to coach people on using YNAB software and the YNAB budgeting method. He has met select requirements of You Need a Budget LLC in order to receive this certification, which means that he has the ability to competently coach YNAB to others.
